Mobile screen recording is an extremely powerful way for researchers to remotely research how users behave on their app or on their website on smartphones or tablets. So using the Indeemo app, participants simply tap a plus button, they choose a screen recording option and then Indeemo records everything they do on their screen and we capture their voice as they do it. This means you get to watch and listen to how they search on Google for example, how they search and shop on amazon, or how they navigate on your website or even a competitor’s website.
The power of the Indeemo approach is that the research participants are in their everyday context and not sitting in a lab with somebody looking over their shoulder. So this means they're not trying to be the perfect user, they could be sitting on their sofa for example, you probably get to hear the tv on the background so it means they’re acting in a much more natural authentic way. The recordings are then instantly uploaded to the Indeemo dashboard, and as a researcher you can watch that video, you can comment and probe their behavior in that screen recording using social networking style comments and push notifications.
Obviously the other major benefit of the Indeemo approach is that you can carry out remote usability testing anywhere, anytime, without the requirements of having a lab or having to travel to meet your participants.
